Background

Home: Headliner

I was raised in Southern Missouri - near the town of Hartville, where I enjoyed life on my family's cow-calf operation. I loved taking care of our animals and helping with farm chores.

I was fascinated with plants and enjoyed gardening from a very young age. When looking into college majors, I discovered I could MAJOR in plants. My first soils and plant science classes at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, solidified my interests and career plans. An internship with Dupont Pioneer (now Corteva Agriscience) led me to Manhattan, KS, and introduced me to the K-State family. I began my role as an Assistant Professor at Kansas State University in November of 2022.
